Senate basics

¤  13 elected reps (from academic departments
across campus) who represent the Academic
Faculty.
¨  When?
¤  2nd and 4th Tuesdays, 2-4 pm in HH 300
¤  Open meetings, visitors welcome.
¤  Feel free to drop in unannounced.

What (global view)?
¨  Promote shared governance by
1. 
providing a forum for the Academic Faculty to
express its views to the Administration and the
Board of Trustees;
2. 
encouraging the involvement of the Academic
Faculty in the overal operation of the School;
3. 
fostering and maintaining a stimulating
atmosphere for teaching, scholarship and
service.
